Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
