The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Party

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a colorful mix of characters, and a exciting storyline featuring angels, evil spirits, and sinister influences expanding in power within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Revealing details for the third episode of this adventure are included.

The Warrior Group Revealed

The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the initial group of adventurers who will split off from the main group to embark on their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table features Teor (played by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

This explains, the initial installments of this story serve as an Introduction, weaving together the individual narratives before branching into three smaller tables: Warriors, Schemers, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

As described by the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for adventurers who are drawn to a traditionally charged battle-oriented story mode where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might look out of place, but the developments of the third episode demonstrate why these specific adventurers are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

First, the team has a clear idea where to go next after a violent opening clash with the enemy group.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose passing kicked off the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his own means, invading the hidden lair, striking the character, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The traitor then settled his debts and ran away to a secure base in the northern region, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each adventurer has a specific drive to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, seeks vengeance.
  • Kattigan has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a hostile environment.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their status as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the team reach areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to Wicander for his deliverance and will now accompany him anywhere.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are sought by the rulers that control the setting for a range of causes, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The hero are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The cleric defied the powerful family and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by the clan.

This results in them few options but to head to Timmony in quest for Casimir.

Upcoming Developments

According to the latest episode’s Cooldown, we learn that the Soldiers table will be absent the following episode, leaving the other eight cast members to round up the Seekers and Strategists groups.

Fans can expect learning which characters will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on the upcoming Thursday.
